In Numbers 24:23, an oracle speaks of destruction from Kittim and the downfall of Asshur and Eber. The Greek Septuagint translation adds a detail not found in the Hebrew, “and seeing Og.” This unexpected reference was likely intended to harmonize with earlier narratives.
