Nahum announces the end of Assyria’s power and the desecration of its idols and grave. The Greek Septuagint translation includes extra details in this verse, likely reflecting a version of the Hebrew in the Dead Sea Scrolls instead of the Masoretic.

Nahum 1:14
Hebrew Bible
12 This is what the Lord says: “Even though they are powerful—and what is more, even though their army is numerous—nevertheless, they will be destroyed and trickle away! Although I afflicted you, I will afflict you no more. 13 And now, I will break Assyria’s yoke bar from your neck; I will tear apart the shackles that are on you.” 14 The Lord has issued a decree against you: “Your dynasty will come to an end. I will destroy the idols and images in the temples of your gods. I will desecrate your grave, because you are accursed!”

LXX Nahum 1:14
Septuagint
12 This says the Lord, who rules many waters, “And thus they will be sent away, and news of you shall not be heard any longer. 13 And now I will break his rod from you, and cleave your bonds.” 14 And the Lord gives a command on behalf of you, “It will not be scattered from your name any longer. From the house of your God I will utterly destroy the carved things and molten things; I will make your grave, because you are hasty.”

But usually, it is an open question whether or not substantial alterations, as distinct from minor adjustments for clarification or harmonization, are the work of the translator. In fact, substantial pluses are rare in XII; apart from Hosea 13:4, the most notable occur in Haggai 2:9, 14; Malachi 1:1 ..."
