Summary
Date: 1st century BCE
In the Greek Septuagint translation, Ezra and Nehemiah are one book, Esdras B, and its first part follows the Hebrew and Aramaic of Ezra so closely that it reads much like the Hebrew book. A separate Greek retelling of the same events, freer in its language and carrying an extra story set at the court of Darius, survives as 1 Esdras.
