Summary
Date: 1st Century B.C.E.
In the Septuagint translation of Proverbs, there are a number of substantial pluses over against the Masoretic text. These mostly come from elsewhere in the LXX and there is debate about whether they are the work of the translator or reflect an already adapted Hebrew text. Some touches, unlikely to have been found in a Hebrew source-text, may even point to a non-biblical origin.
