1 Enoch 69:27

Pseudepigrapha

25 And this oath prevails over them, keeping their paths secure, ensuring their actions are not destroyed. This concludes the Third Parable. 26 There was great joy among them, and they blessed, glorified, and extolled the name of the Son of Man that had been revealed to them. 27 He sat on the throne of his glory, the entirety of judgment was given to the Son of Man, and he caused the sinners to vanish from the face of the earth, along with those who misled the world. 28 They will be bound in chains, confined to their place of destruction, and all their works will disappear from the face of the earth. 29 From now on, nothing corruptible will exist; the Son of Man has appeared, has taken his seat on the throne of his glory, and all evil will vanish before his face. His word will go forth and be strong before the Lord of Spirits. This is the Third Parable of Enoch.

John 5:22

New Testament

19 For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he does, and will show him greater deeds than these, so that you will be amazed. 20 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever he wishes. 21 Furthermore, the Father does not judge anyone, but has assigned all judgment to the Son, 22 so that all people will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. 23 “I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life. 24 I tell you the solemn truth, a time is coming—and is now here—when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

 Notes and References

"... Jude, the brother of James and of Jesus, quotes in his epistle from both the Assumption of Moses and the Book of Enoch. If Jude had read these books and quoted from them, it would seem altogether likely that Jesus had read them and it is possible that he quoted from them too. The words 'when the Son of Man shall sit on the throne of his glory' may have been taken directly by Jesus from the Book of Enoch (62:3). In 1 Enoch 69:27 we read, 'The sum of judgment was committed unto him, the Son of Man.' Jesus seems to be appropriating this phraseology when he says, 'He hath committed all judgment unto the Son .... because he is the Son of Man' (John 5:22, 27). The leading English authority upon this apocalyptic literature, R. H. Charles, thinks that phrases, clauses, or thoughts derived from the Book of Enoch are to be found not only in the Epistle of Jude and the Apocalypse of John, but also in the Gospels according to John and Matthew and Luke, and in the Book of Acts, and in the Epistles of Paul to the Romans and to the Ephesians, and in the Epistle to the Hebrews ..."
