Daniel 10:6

Hebrew Bible

5 I looked up and saw a man clothed in linen; around his waist was a belt made of gold from Ufaz. 6 His body resembled yellow jasper, and his face had an appearance like lightning. His eyes were like blazing torches; his arms and feet had the gleam of polished bronze. His voice thundered forth like the sound of a large crowd. 7 Only I, Daniel, saw the vision; the men who were with me did not see it. On the contrary, they were overcome with fright and ran away to hide.

Revelation 1:14

New Testament

13 and in the midst of the lampstands was one like a son of man. He was dressed in a robe extending down to his feet, and he wore a wide golden belt around his chest. 14 His head and hair were as white as wool, even as white as snow, and his eyes were like a fiery flame. 15 His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.

 Notes and References

"... Another piece of the physical apparel of Christ in Revelation 1, as well as the description of his eyes and feet, draws especially on the appearance of the glorious being in Daniel 10. The description “and tied around the chest with a golden girdle/sash” in Revelation 1:13c alludes to Daniel 10.5. The description “and his eyes were like flaming fire” in Revelation 1:14b reflects Daniel 10:6 where the eyes of the glorious one are described as “torches of fire”. The description “and his feet were the likeness of burnished bronze, as having been fired in a furnace” in Revelation 1:15a reflects Daniel 10:6 where the arms and feet of the glorious being are described in a very similar manner. The three possible identifications of this figure in Daniel 10 are: Gabriel; the “one as a son of man”; or an unnamed exalted angel. The author of Revelation’s use of the specific language of Daniel 10 in recording his vision of Christ (1:13c, 1:14b, and 1:15a) indicates that he probably identified the figure of Daniel 10 with the “one as a son of man” in Daniel 7:13, and understood this figure to be the Glory of YHWH ..."
