Summary
Date: 100-300 C.E.

Memar Marqah (The Teaching of Marqah), or as it is called in the latest manuscripts "The Book of Wonders," is probably the most imĀportant Samaritan work after the Samaritan Pentateuch and Targum. It is upon Marqah's Memar that many Samaritan theologians, mystics and liturgists of later, medieval times based their work. Furthermore, it is the only representative of Samaritan literature in the early cenĀturies C.E. It predates Islamic influence and demonstrates early knowledge of the Gospel of John.
