Ezekiel 8 places an idol that provokes God’s jealousy inside the Temple. The Apocalypse of Abraham echoes this image and compares it to Terah’s handiwork, linking Israel’s later betrayal of God to the idol making Abraham rejected in his father’s house.

Ezekiel 8:5
Hebrew Bible
3 He stretched out the form of a hand and grabbed me by a lock of hair on my head. Then a wind lifted me up between the earth and sky and brought me to Jerusalem by divine visions, to the door of the inner gate that faces north where the statue that provokes to jealousy was located. 4 Then I perceived that the glory of the God of Israel was there, as in the vision I had seen earlier in the valley. 5 He said to me, “Son of man, look up toward the north.” So I looked up toward the north, and I noticed to the north of the altar gate was this statue of jealousy at the entrance.
Apocalypse of Abraham 25:1
Pseudepigrapha, Apocalypses
1 I saw there the likeness of the idol of jealousy, having the likeness of woodwork such as my father used to make, and its statue was of glittering bronze; and before it a man, and he worshipped it; 2 and in front of him an altar, and upon it a boy slain in the presence of the idol. 3 But I said to Him: "What is this idol, or what is the altar, or who are they that are sacrificed, or who is the sacrificer? Or what is the Temple which I see that is beautiful in art, and its beauty (being like) the glory that lies beneath Your throne?"
