Daniel 7:10

Hebrew Bible

9 “While I was watching, thrones were set up, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His attire was white like snow; the hair of his head was like lamb’s wool. His throne was ablaze with fire, and its wheels were all aflame. 10 A river of fire was streaming forth and proceeding from his presence. Many thousands were ministering to him; many tens of thousands stood ready to serve him. The court convened, and the books were opened. 11 “Then I kept on watching because of the arrogant words of the horn that was speaking. I was watching until the beast was killed and its body destroyed and thrown into the flaming fire. 12 As for the rest of the beasts, their ruling authority had already been removed, though they were permitted to go on living for a time and a season.

1 Enoch 47:3

Pseudepigrapha

2 In those days, the holy ones who dwell above in the heavens shall unite with one voice to supplicate, pray, praise, give thanks, and bless the name of the Lord of Spirits on behalf of the blood of the righteous that has been shed, so that the prayers of the righteous may not be in vain before the Lord of Spirits, that justice may be done for them, and that they may not suffer forever. 3 In those days, I saw the Head of Days when He seated himself upon the throne of His glory, and the books of the living were opened before Him; and all His host which is in heaven above and His counselors stood before Him. 4 And the hearts of the holy were filled with joy because the number of the righteous had been offered, the prayer of the righteous had been heard, and the blood of the righteous had been required before the Lord of Spirits.

 Notes and References

"... The community at Sardis receives a mixed review from the Son. It has a reputation of being alive, but unlike the Son, it is dead (3:1). Nevertheless, there are still a few who have not “soiled their clothes,” and they will be clothed in white, and the Son of Man will not blot their names out of the book of life. To “blot out” (ἐξαλείφω) seems to have been a technical term for removing a citizen’s name from a citizenship list prior to his execution.25 The Son of Man, however, will not do this; he will instead confess the names on the book to his father and his angels. The conjunction of the “father” and the angels in company with a heavenly book is once again reminiscent of Daniel 7. The books in Daniel 7:10 are books of judgment, not a book of life as in Revelation 3:5, but 1 Enoch 47:3 does portray the “Head of Days” opening “books of the living” ..."
