Prosopopoeia

Prosopopoeia refers to a form of speech or writing that attributes voice, perspective, or speech to someone or something that cannot literally speak. This may include abstract ideas, collective entities, the dead, or inanimate objects. By granting voice, the text makes complex or distant concepts immediate and expressive, allowing them to address an audience directly. Prosopopoeia is used to clarify ideas, intensify emotional impact, or frame argument by presenting speech from a constructed speaker rather than the author.
