Summary
Date: 120-180 C.E.
In this revelation dialogue the risen Jesus teaches John, the son of Zebedee, about the unknowable God, the origin of the world, the making of Adam and Eve, and the way of salvation. The text follows the longer version in Codex II, with gaps filled from Codex IV. A shorter version survives in Nag Hammadi Codex III and in the Berlin Codex.
