Column 1
1 And Moses called to all Israel and said to them, “Hear, O Israel, 2 the statutes and the judgments that I am speaking in your ears this day, 3 and you shall learn them and take care to do them. The LORD our God made a covenant with us 4 at Horeb. Not [with] our [fathers] did [the LORD] make this covenant, but with us, 5 [we, these who are here today, all of us alive. Face to face] the LORD [spoke] with you 6 [on the mountain from the midst of the fire. I was standing between the LORD and you at that time,] to declare 7 to you [the words of] the LORD, for [you were afraid because of the fire and did not] go up the mountain, saying: 8 I am the LORD your God, who [brought you out of the land of] Egypt, out of the house of slaves. 9 You shall have no [other] gods [before me. You shall not] make for yourself a carved image, [any] 10 likeness of what is in the heavens [above, or what is on the earth beneath, or] what [is in the waters] 11 beneath the earth. You shall not [bow down to them or serve them,] for I, [the LORD] 12 your God, am a jealous God, [visiting the iniquity of fathers on sons, and on the] third [and on the] 13 fourth generation of those who hate me, [and showing kindness to thousands, to those who love me] and to those who keep [my commandments.] 14 You shall not [take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not] hold [guiltless]

1 […] 2 [… Six days you shall labor and do all] 3 your work, [but the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God. You shall not do any] 4 work, [you or your son or your daughter or your male slave or your female slave or your ox or your donkey or any of] 5 your livestock, [or your sojourner who is within your gates, so that your male slave and your female slave may rest as you do. And you shall remember] 6 that [you were] a slave [in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God brought you out from there with a hand] 7 that was strong [and an arm outstretched. Therefore the LORD your God commanded you to keep the] 8 sabbath [day …] 9 […] 10 […] 11 […] 12 […] 13 [… and you shall] not covet [your neighbor’s wife, and you shall not desire the house of] 14 [your neighbor, his field or his male slave …] … his ox [or his donkey or anything that is your neighbor’s.]
Column 3
1 [These words the LORD spoke to all your assembly on the mountain from the midst of the fire, the darkness,] the cloud, and the thick darkness, 2 [with a loud voice, and he added no more. And he wrote them on two tablets of stone] and gave them 3 [to me. And when you heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, while the mountain] was burning with fire, 4 [you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders, and you said,] “Behold, he has shown us, 5 [the LORD our God, his glory and his greatness, and his voice] we have heard from the midst of 6 [the fire. This day we have seen that God speaks with] a human [and he] lives. And now, 7 [why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If] we go on 8 [hearing the voice of the LORD our God any longer, we shall die. For who is there of] all flesh that 9 [has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire as] we have, and lived? Draw near, 10 [you, and hear all that the LORD] our [God says] to you, and you 11 [shall speak to us all that the LORD our God speaks] to [you, and we will hear] 12 [and do it.” And the LORD heard the sound of your words when you spoke to me, and the LORD said] 13 [to me, “I have] heard [the sound of the words of this people, which they spoke to you.] 14 [They have done well in] all [that they have spoken …]

1 this [heart] of theirs, to fear me [and to keep all my commandments all] 2 the days, so that it may go well with them and with their sons [forever. Go, say] 3 [to them,] ‘Return to your tents.’ But you, [stand here with me, and I will speak] 4 [to you] all the commandment, the statutes [and the judgments that you shall teach] them, 5 [and they shall do them] in the land that I am giving [them to possess.” And you shall take care] 6 [to do as] the LORD your God commanded [you. You shall not turn aside to the right] 7 [or to the left. In] all the way that [the LORD your God commanded you, you shall walk,] 8 [so that you may live,] and it may be well with you, and [you may prolong your days in the land that] 9 [you shall possess.] And this is the commandment, [the statutes and the judgments that] 10 [the LORD] your God [commanded, to teach you to do in the land to which you are] 11 [crossing over] to possess [it, so that you may fear the LORD your God,] 12 [to keep] all his statutes [and his commandments that I command you,] 13 [you and your son] and your son’s son, [all the days of your life, and so that your days may be long.] 14 [And hear, O] Israel, [and take care to do, so that it may go well with you and that you may multiply]
Column 5
1 [And you shall know in] your [heart that as] a man disciplines 2 his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you. And you shall keep 3 the commandments of the LORD your God, to [walk in] all his ways [and to fear] 4 him. For [the LORD] your God [is bringing you] to a land 5 good and [broad,] a land of streams [of water, of] springs and deeps 6 flowing out in valley and hill; [a land of wheat] and barley 7 [and vine] and fig tree and pomegranate; [a land of] olive oil and honey; a land 8 [in which you will eat bread without] scarcity; you will lack 9 [nothing] in it; a land whose stones are iron and from whose hills 10 [you will hew copper. And you shall eat] and be satisfied, and you shall bless 11 [the LORD your God for the good land] that he has given 12 [you …]
Column 8
1 [… and] their tents and [every human who belonged to Korah, and every living thing] 2 [that followed] at their feet, from the midst [of all Israel. For your eyes have seen all] 3 [the] great [works of] the LORD that [he did. And you shall keep all the commandment,] 4 [the statutes] and the judgments [that I command you today, so that you may be strong] 5 [and multiply] and go in and possess [the land to which you are crossing] 6 [the Jordan] to possess it, and [so that you may prolong your days on the ground that] 7 [the LORD swore] to your fathers to give [to them and to their seed, a land flowing with milk and honey.] 8 [For the] land that you [are entering to possess is not like the land of Egypt] 9 […] … from there, where you [sowed your seed and watered it with your foot] 10 [like a vegetable garden. But the land that] you [are crossing over to possess is a land of hills] 11 [and valleys; by the rain of the heavens it drinks water; a land that the LORD your God] 12 [cares for] always; [the eyes of the LORD your God are on it from the beginning of the year to] 13 [the end of the year.] And it [shall be, if you truly listen to my commandments that I command] 14 [you] today, [to love the LORD your God and to serve him with all your heart]
Column 9
10 … [… so that your days and the days of your sons may be many on the ground that] 11 the LORD [swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth.] 12 And [the LORD] said [to Moses and Aaron, “This is the statute of the Passover:] 13 no [foreigner shall eat of it. But every man’s slave bought with silver, when you have circumcised him,] 14 then he may [eat of it …]
Column 10
1 [In one house it shall be eaten; you shall not take any of the] flesh outside [the house], and a bone 2 [you shall not break in it. All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And when] there sojourns with you 3 [a sojourner, and he would keep the Passover to the LORD, let every male of his be circumcised, and then he may come near to keep it,] and he shall be like a native of 4 [the land. But no uncircumcised person shall eat of it. There shall be one rule for the] native and for the sojourner who sojourns 5 [in your midst.” And all the sons of Israel did as the LORD commanded] Moses and Aaron; so 6 [they did. And on that very day the LORD brought] the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt 7 [by their hosts. And the LORD spoke to] Moses, saying, “Consecrate to me 8 [every firstborn, the first to open every womb among the sons of Israel, of] human [and of beast; it is mine.”] 9 [And Moses said to the people,] “Remember [this day on which you came out of the land of Egypt,] 10 [out of the house of slaves, for by] strength [of hand the LORD] brought [you out from here; and no] 11 leavened [bread shall be eaten.] Today you [are going out, in the month of] Abib. [And it shall be, when] 12 [the LORD] your God [brings you] into the [land of the Canaanites,] the Hittites, [the Amorites, the Perizzites,] 13 [the Hivites,] the [Jebusites, and the] Girgashites, as [he swore to] your fathers to give them, [a land] 14 [flowing with] milk [and honey, you] shall keep [this service] in this month […]

12 Consider [the years of generation after generation. Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders and they will say to you.] 13 When [the Most High] gave [the nations] their inheritance, [when he divided the sons of Adam, he set the boundaries of the peoples by the number of] 14 the sons of God […]

1 [And it shall be] for you a [sign on your hand and a memorial between your eyes, so that] 2 [the] Torah [of the LORD may be in your mouth, for with a strong hand the LORD brought you out.]
