Date: 100 C.E.

Likely written in the early 2nd century C.E., the Testament of Abraham is an apocalyptic book of Jewish origin that draws upon the Blessing of Jacob found in Genesis 49. In it, God commands the angel Michael to go down and speak to Abraham about his impending death. Abraham is eventually taken to Heaven and given multiple visions of multiple souls. In the end, Abraham is killed by a personification of Death.
