The Divine Institutes, known by its Latin name Institutiones Divinae, is the name of a theological work by the Christian Roman philosopher Lactantius, written early in the 4th century C.E. It is both a systematic as well as apologetic work that attempts to point out the futility of pagan beliefs and to establish the reasonableness and truth of Christianity.
