Date: 90-100 C.E.

The First Epistle of Clement is a letter addressed to the Christians in the city of Corinth. Attributed to Clement I, the Bishop of Rome, the letter was read aloud from time to time and soon spread to other communities. It deals with church structure and practice and defends local presbyters in the face of discipline. It is notable for being considered scripture by many early Christians.
