Cicero

Cicero, Marcus Tullius (106–43 B.C.E.), a soldier, jurist, politician, and orator, was the author of numerous letters as well as speeches and treatises, such as In Verrem (Against Verres), Philippics, Pro Milone (In Defense of Milo), Pro Roscio Amerino Sexto (In Defense of Sextus Roscius of Ameria), Pro Flacco (In Defense of Flaccus), and De officiis (On Duties).
