1 [In] the four hundred and eightieth year of Noah’s life their end came for Noah, and God 2 said, “My spirit shall not dwell in humankind forever, and their days shall be cut off at one hundred and twenty 3 years, until the end of the waters of the flood.” And the waters of the flood were upon the earth in the six hundredth year 4 of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the first day of the week, on its seventeenth. On that day 5 all the springs of the great deep burst open and the windows of the heavens were opened, and the rain was upon 6 the earth forty days and forty nights, until the twenty-sixth day of the third 7 month, the fifth day of the week. And the waters prevailed over the earth one hundred and fifty days, 8 until the fourteenth day of the seventh month, on the third day of the week. And at the end of one hundred 9 and fifty days the waters decreased for two days, the fourth day and the fifth day, and on the 10 sixth day the ark came to rest on the mountains of Hurarat. That was the seventeenth day of the seventh month. 11 And the waters kept on decreasing until the tenth month. On its first day, the fourth day 12 of the week, the tops of the mountains appeared. And at the end of forty days from when the tops of 13 the mountains appeared, Noah opened the window of the ark, on the first day of the week, that is, the tenth day 14 of the [eleventh] month. And he sent out the dove to see whether the waters had subsided, but it did not 15 find a resting place, and it came back to him, [to] the ark. And he waited yet [another] seven days 16 and again sent it out, and it came back to him with a plucked olive leaf in its beak. [That was the twenty] 17 fourth day of the eleventh month, on the first day of the week. [And Noah knew that the waters had subsided] 18 from upon the earth. And at the end of another seven days [he sent out] the [dove, and it did not] 19 return again. That was the first day [of the twelfth] month, [on the first day] 20 of the week. And at the end of thirty [one days from the sending out of the dove] that did not 21 return again, the waters dried up [from upon the earth, and] Noah removed the covering of the ark 22 and looked, and behold, [the surface of the ground had dried, on the fourth day of the week,] on the first of the first month.

1 In the six hundred and first year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, 2 the earth was dry, on the first day of the week. On that day Noah went out of the ark, [1]at the end of a complete 3 year of three hundred and sixty-four days, on the first day of the week, on the seventh 4 one and six, Noah from the ark, at the appointed time of a complete 5 year. And Noah awoke from his wine and knew what 6 his youngest son had done to him, and he said, “Cursed be Canaan; a slave of slaves shall he be to his brothers.” But he did not 7 curse Ham, but only his son, for God had blessed the sons of Noah. “And in the tents of Shem may he dwell.” 8 He gave the land to Abraham his friend.
