Psalm 104:4

Hebrew Bible

1 Praise the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are magnificent. You are robed in splendor and majesty. 2 He covers himself with light as if it were a garment. He stretches out the skies like a tent curtain 3 and lays the beams on water in his upper rooms3. He makes the clouds his chariot and travels on the wings of the wind. 4 He makes the winds his messengers and the flaming fire his attendant. 5 He established the earth on its foundations; it will never be moved.

1 Enoch 61:6

Pseudepigrapha

5 And these measures shall reveal all the secrets of the depths of the earth, And those who have been destroyed by the desert, And those who have been devoured by the beasts, And those who have been devoured by the fish of the sea, That they may return and stay themselves On the day of the Elect One; For none shall be destroyed before the Lord of Spirits, And none can be destroyed. 6 And all who dwell above in the heaven received a command and power and one voice and one light like unto fire. 7 And that One (with) their first words they blessed, And extolled and lauded with wisdom, And they were wise in utterance and in the spirit of life.

 Notes and References

"... The wording is correct. Enoch reports being summoned by clouds and a mist. The language (for the clouds, at least) is likely describing divine messengers, since it is similar to that used in Scripture (Psalm 104:4). Verse 11 validates this approach, as its language is similar to Ezekiel 1. The full description in the verse makes it evident that Enoch is being transported, not just summoned, by these forces or figures. The reference to a mist may reflect God’s abode “upon the waters” above the firmament covering the world in ancient cosmology (Psalm 29:10) ..."
