Ezekiel 1:27
25 Then there was a voice from above the platform over their heads when they stood still. 26 Above the platform over their heads was something like a sapphire shaped like a throne. High above on the throne was a form that appeared to be a man. 27 I saw an amber glow like a fire enclosed all around from his waist up. From his waist down I saw something that looked like fire. There was a brilliant light around it, 28 like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds after the rain. This was the appearance of the surrounding brilliant light; it looked like the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I threw myself face down, and I heard a voice speaking.
1 Enoch 14:21
19 And the Great Glory sat thereon, and His raiment shone more brightly than the sun and was whiter than any snow. 20 None of the angels could enter and could behold His face by reason of the magnificence and glory and no flesh could behold Him. 21 The flaming fire was round about Him, and a great fire stood before Him, and none around could draw nigh Him: ten thousand times ten thousand (stood) before Him, yet He needed no counselor. 22 And the most holy ones who were nigh to Him did not leave by night nor depart from Him. 23 And until then I had been prostrate on my face, trembling: and the Lord called me with His own mouth, and said to me: 'Come hither, Enoch, and hear my word.'

"... The description of Enoch's ascent to heaven and his progress through the heavenly temple is saturated with references to meteorological phenomena and climatic conditions. These can be explained as typical components of theophanic descriptions and secondarily as natural ways to describe heaven, with its storehouses of snow, ice, and the like. It should be noted, however, that many of them are compatible with the physical appearance of Mount Hermon and the conditions that surround it: a massive snowcap, ice, heavy clouds, fierce winds, and terrible cold at its peak ... A fiery stream proceeds from beneath the throne of God, a point at which 1 Enoch 14:19 agrees with Ezekiel 1:13 against Daniel 7:10 ..."
