Ezekiel 47:1

Hebrew Bible

1 Then he brought me back to the entrance of the temple. I noticed that water was flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was flowing down from under the right side of the temple, from south of the altar. 2 He led me out by way of the north gate and brought me around the outside of the outer gate that faces toward the east; I noticed that the water was trickling out from the south side. 3 When the man went out toward the east with a measuring line in his hand, he measured 1,750 feet, and then he led me through water, which was ankle deep.

1 Enoch 48:1

Pseudepigrapha

1 And in that place I saw the fountain of righteousness Which was inexhaustible: And around it were many fountains of wisdom; And all the thirsty drank of them, And were filled with wisdom, And their dwellings were with the righteous and holy and elect. 2 And at that hour that Son of Man was named In the presence of the Lord of Spirits, And his name before the Head of Days. 3 Yea, before the sun and the signs were created, Before the stars of the heaven were made, His name was named before the Lord of Spirits.

 Notes and References

"... 1 Enoch 48:1 ... The introductory 'in that place' indicates that the activity described in this new section takes place in the heavenly throne room, where the court has just met to pass judgment on the kings and the mighty (chapter 47). As in 47:3, Enoch describes events that he 'saw' (48:1). References to 'the spring' of righteousness that is inexhaustible and 'the many springs' of wisdom that satisfy the thirsty provide metaphors for the plentitude of righteousness and wisdom in the heavenly realm ... Here the spring of righteousness may be the counterpart to the stream of fire that flows from before God's throne in Daniel 7:10 and the river of water that issues from beneath the threshold of the temple in Ezekiel 47:1-12 and from the throne of God in Revelation 22:1-2. See also Psalm 46:4 ..."
