Description: The name Susanna is the Greek form of the Hebrew Shoshana, meaning lily. She is presented as a mistress of a large estate with the leading Jewish citizens of Babylon. Susanna is subject to a trap and an ethical dilemma and eventually placed on trial. She is unjustly found guilty and after praying is rescued by Daniel.
